A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has said that Delta state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, will do more than he has done for Deltans, if re-elected in the forthcoming governorship election.
Onuesoke stated this at an award ceremony organized by Daily Independent newspapers, at Eko Le’Meridian Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos where Gov. Okowa clinched the 2018 Man of the Year Award.
The PDP chieftain noted that the governor’s hard work, even when the nation’s economy was down, endeared him to the people, adding that his second tenure cannot be argued.

Pointing out the need for Okowa to be reelected, he said there has been peace and notable infrastructural development since his assuming office.
Congratulating him on the award, Chief Onuesoke enjoined the governor to see it as a call to higher service to the state and humanity at large.
He further described Okowa as a natural peace maker, a conciliator and a bridge builder of immense characteristics whom God has bestowed leadership on and as such deserve to rule for second term.
“I can say with all sense of humility that there is peace and infrastructural development in the state. In fact, we need to encourage the man (Okowa) to come back and complete the good work he started in 2015.
“On the true state of infrastructure in the state, he executed scores of projects since 2015 and a lot more are still being executed in all the 25 local government areas, LGAs.
“The Governor has been able to build bridges linking various communities in the riverine areas. These projects are visible and Governor Okowa will do more if given another opportunity,” Onuesoke stated.
