The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Supo Ayokunle has visited the Oginibu country-home of erstwhile minister of State for Education, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Rev. Ayokunle was accompanied on the visit by over 100 notable pastors in the country including the South South Chairman of the body, Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa and Bishop Diamond Emuobo.
The visit was to entrust the 2023 governorship ambition of the former minister who is gunning for the number seat in the state to God.
The CAN President at the ceremony described Gbagi as an industrialist whose magic business touch has led to the employment of thousand persons across the country.
The cleric, who said Nigeria needs successful businessmen such as Gbagi to bring their wealth of experiences into governance, pray for his heart desires to be met.
Gbagi, aside being a notable politician, he is one of Delta’s biggest private investor and employer of labour.
The Christian leader, while praying for Gbagi, asked God to remove whatever stumbling block on the way of the former minister to enable him actualise his ambition.
According to the CAN President, “What I cannot do, which you can do, Lord do it, irrespective of the opposition and forces against him. In the ambition of your children, you alone, God, you will stand with them.
“I command all the stumbling blocks to be removed, let their open doors; the Lord said I have opened a door before you, which no man can shut.”
Urging the Lord to surprise Gbagi in his quest but make him to submit to His sovereignty when the time comes, he declared, “Receive the power to possess your possession, it is yours.”
